About the APPtake Project

APPtake, a blend of “App” and “Uptake,” is dedicated to bridging the gap in the European market where most DevSecOps solutions are designed for large enterprises. Recognising the unique challenges that SMEs face, APPtake is building a sustainable portfolio of cybersecurity tools that are not only accessible and affordable but also backed by comprehensive training and support. The project’s marketplace platform will serve as a hub, connecting solution suppliers with SME adopters, while its educational initiatives ensure that organisations are well-equipped to implement and manage these tools.

Key Objectives & Outcomes

APPtake focuses on three strategic areas to achieve its goals:

• Tools Evolution: Evolve, improve, and test operational tools across five strategic reference scenarios, leveraging solutions derived from publicly funded EU research.
• Network Creation: Establish a technological and commercial network that enhances integration, interoperability, and coordination among cybersecurity tools with a significant impact on the field.
• Methodologies Application: Implement and standardize cybersecurity development methodologies at European, national, and regional levels.

Expected outcomes include the maturity of a diverse cybersecurity portfolio, the development of an integrated platform, thorough profiling of end-user requirements, and comprehensive stakeholder engagement. Achieving these objectives will contribute to a more resilient digital landscape for SMEs.
